Keratin is the fibrous protein that forms the main structural component of the hoof and hair of the horse. The combination of nutrients found in Ker-A-Form supports keratin as well as other components which are required for a healthy hoof and horse. Without the presence of healthy keratin hooves and hair grow slowly and become dry and brittle. Ker-A-Form supports a reduced incidence of toe cracks, quarter cracks, and abnormalities that are derived from weak keratin in the hoof wall.
